Meet Alex!

FullSizeRenderMeet 15 year-old Alex, who juggles trying to be a teenager while living with cerebral palsy as well as many other ordeals. Alex is non-verbal but he uses an electronic device for communication. He is also visually impaired being completely blind in one eye. In heart, however, young Alex is a happy guy.

Alex is in 9th grade. He diligently accomplishes his studies with special accommodations, and marine science and reading are his two favorite subjects in school. Alex enjoys more than academia. He plays baseball in the Challenger League, which provide opportunities for disabled children to participate in teamwork through sports. Alex’s true passion, however, stems from his faith. He enjoys praying for people and his humble goal is to become a pastor. Imagine this young man having the weight of illness on his determined shoulders, and his one thought is to help and inspire other people.

Alex needs a lightweight adaptive push-chair for easier transportation around school and town.
