Justin receives a new adaptive tricycle on his birthday!

Justin on his new bike!

February 2014 -Justin received a wonderful surprise birthday present, his new Freedom Concepts adaptive tricycle! Wheelchairs 4 Kids collaborated with the First Hand Foundation to get Justin the tricycle he needed. We love teamwork!

Justin is a 13 year-old teen who suffers from the debilitating conditions, Hydrocephalus and Cerebral Palsy.  As a result, Justin has developmental delays, uses a wheelchair and is non-verbal. Now, Justin has an adaptive tricycle that helps him to improve his range of motion, development, coordination, and overall mobility while bringing a huge smile to his face! A big thank you to the Resurgens Charitable Foundation for their sponsorship and for helping to make Justin’s birthday extra special!

Justin works vigilantly during therapy sessions and at home to improve his strength and mobility.  Writing that Justin’s life is hard would be an understatement, however, he fights through obstacles and pain and finds simple ways to have fun. Justin is always enthralled by game shows, especially his favorite, “Family Feud.”  He likes music too.  The inspiring sounds of Gospel music always lift his spirit!  Most of all, Justin loves pedaling on an adaptive tricycle. Not only is Justin having fun but he is also working on improving his motor skills! The exercise invigorates his body and he feels great afterwards. Justin inspires everyone through his determination.
