Meet Antony!
Meet five-year-old Antony. He was diagnosed with spina bifida and hidrocephalus. Antony is unable to use his legs; however, the determined boy works hard with a walker. He is also learning how to speak. He has endured surgeries to correct his spine and to implant a shunt. Antony, despite his battles, is a happy child.
Antony is best described as stubborn; he never gives in to his challenges. He gets through his day by listening to great music, and his favorite artist is Enrique Iglesias. Antony loves movies, too. He never tires watching the hit animated film, Cars. Most of all, he adores his family. He cannot wait for mom to read him a fun story. Antony also lives vicariously through his active brother who runs around like a playful puppy. Antony laughs and squeals with each of his brother’s steps!

Antony received his tricycle and immediately wanted to try it out. Mom says: “He’s been on it non stop!” Antony enjoys his rides and the freedom his own trike provides while mom looks on happily knowing his body is getting some extra physical therapy that will help him gain muscle tone, balance and core strength.
