Meet Nathaniel!

Meet 13-year-old Nate. He was three years old when doctors diagnosed him with a rare chromosomal disorder that caused his brain to be undersized. The illness has made Nate’s life difficult. Nate is cognitively equivalent to a toddler. He can only walk about a foot in distance, and even then with assistance. He usually moves around on the floor. He also  has limited speech ability. Furthermore, Nate is sensory sensitive, and he avoids places with too much noise. He is a joyful boy despite the hardships.

Nate is always active. He likes going to the beach with his mom. They sit in the sand and kick back the waves.    He is also a member of the Miracle League baseball team. Nate enjoys playing ball with his friends. Nate is a very loving child, too. He comforts people when they are not happy. Nate will cry and embrace his friends if they are in pain. Nate wishes he could be like other kids who are not disabled, but he is thankful for everything and everybody in his life. We’re grateful for meeting Nate and his heart of golden kindness.

Nate needs an adaptive tricycle to improve his leg strength and stamina. He will also have fun playing on the trike. Please be a sponsor for him soon!
