Meet Stephen!

Stephen is a fun, loving four year old who is diagnosed with Cardio-Facio-Cutaneous syndrome. This illness affects the heart, face and skin, yet Stephen remains a playful and happy boy. He enjoys doing activities that delight most other kids. He laughs to infinite and beyond when watching Toy Story and the crazy cast of characters like Woody and Buzz Lightyear. Throw in some popcorn and Stephen is all smiles!

Stephen likes to sing about the friends in Old MacDonald Had a Farm. Stephen loves cows the best and shouts gleefully “with a moo moo here and a moo moo there!” Stephen’s paradise would probably have moo moos everywhere.

True bliss for the little guy would be a world without disease or illness, but he keeps uncommonly strong and positive. He makes everyone’s world more inspiring. We all need a Stephen here and a Stephen there. What a wonderful world that would be!

Stephen needs a new manual wheelchair that is adjustable as he grows bigger and stronger. He cannot walk and a wheelchair will help him gain independence. He could go here, there and everywhere!
