Meet Joanel!

Meet four-year-old Joanel. He was diagnosed with a chromosomal abnormality and scoliosis. A cleft palate also adds to his challenges. He is unable to walk or crawl. Joanel is nonverbal, but he cries and makes sounds to communicate. This disabled boy remains very contented despite his trials.

Joanel has several interests that keep him smiling. He watches movies, and his favorites are Rio and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Films such as these with vivid colors capture his attention. He enjoys music, too. Joanel feels very relaxed whenever he listens to Baby Mozart. Most of all, Joanel never gets enough hugs and kisses. Give him a warm embrace and he will dissolve in your arms. Meet him and he will melt your heart.

Joanel needs a Hi-Lo activity chair to offer a variety of positions and improved comfort. The new equipment will allow him to participate in more activities with friends and family.

Joanel received a Hi Lo activity chair. This chair provides a safe and comfortable seating alternative to his wheelchair when home. The wheels on the chair make it easy for him to be included in the various activities around the house and the Hi Lo feature make sure he’s at the correct height from coffee table to dinning table!
