Leilani’s Success Story!
Wheelchairs 4 Kids was able to help Leilani get a Zonco Mobile Arm Valet! Leilani was diagnosed with Arthrogryposis and has a very limited range of motion and decreased strength in her upper extremities.
Leilani is in the 4th grade and occasionally attends the YMCA with her mother and two younger brothers. She can maneuver around her school with her power wheelchair and mostly uses her chin to manipulate her movements.
Leilani is now able to complete basic tasks such as brushing her teeth, feeding herself, drawing and typing a keyboard with the new arm valet. This is giving so much more independence to Leilani and allowing her the self-help skills she desperately wanted!
