Michael is a sweet 2-year-old boy who sustained nonaccidental traumatic brain injury when he was less than 1 year old. As a result, Michael suffers from seizures, is unable to speak or walk, and is globally developmentally delayed; he is also blind. Michael has a new family who adores him, and his new mom just loves her little “marshmallow” baby.
Michael is growing really fast now, and he is unable to give any help during ADLs. Mom repeatedly struggles with lifting him for dressing, changing, and bathing. Michael’s physical therapist recommends a Hoyer lift, which insurance will not cover. This will make for safer and easier transfers during ADLs. Please be his sponsor!
