Giving Tuesday 2024: Two Accessible Adventures!

Wheelchairs 4 Kids’ Wheely Fun Day program gives children with physical disabilities unforgettable experiences that are adapted to accommodate their mobility needs. Our inclusion program also fosters confidence within our Wheel Kids, and community for them and their families.

• Since 2022, Wheelchairs 4 Kids has been bringing 20 Wheel Kids and one parent from Florida to Breckenridge, Colorado, to experience the thrill of adaptive downhill skiing.
  • This trip includes: 4-nights lodging at Beaver Run Resort, airfare, transportation, most meals, and 2 half-days of adaptive skiing with Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center.
• In 2024, we launched an all-new adventure: an adaptive summer camp for 40 Wheel Kids and their families at Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, Georgia.
  • This 2-night sleep-away camp includes: adaptive zip-lining, rock climbing, horseback riding, archery, fishing, and an adaptive high-ropes course.
  • Also included are: lodging, meals, and parties including s’mores around the campfire, outdoor movie night, and a carnival.

Together, we can make sure that both of these fantastic opportunities are once again offered to our Wheel Kids and their families.
