Meet Yarely!

Meet 10-year-old Yareli. She was diagnosed with a form of congenital disorder of glycosylation. The condition affects numerous aspects of the body and causes several challenges. She is cognitively underdeveloped and her speech ability is limited. She also cannot walk without her gait trainer. Yareli, however, is happy despite her limitations.

Yareli enjoys a few pastimes. She watches movies and television shows on her tablet; her favorite is Peppa Pig. Yareli listens to music; she especially plays repeatedly her favorite song, Despacito by Luis Fonsi. She is also fascinated by skate boarders and their acrobatic movements. Yareli likes spending time playing with her two dogs. She uses her gait trainer to chase them around the house. The dogs turn around and chase Yareli. The game always ends with a big smile and wagging tails! Yareli is even a hard-working student at school, but she really prefers the social interaction with her friends. Yareli is clearly a resilient girl. She can have bad days, but for her happiness is only a heartbeat away.

Yareli needs a therapy tricycle to improve her leg strength and control of her upper body. This will increase her ability to walk.   Please be her sponsor!

Yareli’s therapy trike arrived just in time for her birthday celebration! As soon as she saw her very own blue bike she was so excited she went for a ride right then and there! All her family was there to see the precious moment for this adorable girl, there was not a dry eye there. It was a heartwarming moment to see Yareli on her trike for the very first time.
