Crime: 1st Degree Infraction of Failure to Disclose

Ray Ferrara aka “Vito” has been charged with 1st Degree Infraction Failure to Disclose his educational background.  As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) for the past 30 years he has kept secret that his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland is in Zoology. 

This is clearly an inappropriate educational background for someone in the financial planning profession and should be clearly and prominently disclosed to his clients and potential clients.  He is currently being sought by authorities and will need bail money by August 14^th.  He has committed that to encourage others, he will match dollar for dollar the first $5,000 donated to get him out of jail. 

Married to Kim for 49 years, Ray lives in Belleair, FL and is a member of Belleair Country Club and Pelican Club. They love to travel together having visited 70 countries and all 7 continents and enjoy spending time on their boat: Someday Is Today. Active in the community Ray serves on the BOD for Morton Plant Mease, Eckerd Connects, Board of Certified Safety Professionals and the University of Maryland College Park Foundation among many others. Professionally he has served on the BOD for the Financial Planning Association, CFP Board, and National Advisors Trust Company.
