Meet Sweet Leah – A Little Ray of Sunshine

Meet 8-year-old Leah, a bright and beautiful soul who fills every room with warmth and joy. Leah was diagnosed with KCNQ2, a rare form of epilepsy, which brings challenges like weakness in her arms and legs that make balancing a bit tricky. But despite these hurdles, Leah’s spirit remains unbreakable — she’s always smiling and radiating happiness wherever she goes.

Leah’s heart is full of wonder and curiosity. She loves snuggling up with her favorite books, especially when her family reads to her. Coco Melon is her go-to show, lighting up her face with excitement. Leah’s happiest moments are at the park, swinging high and feeling the breeze on her face. But what she treasures most is simply being with her family, soaking in every laugh, hug, and shared moment.

Leah may be a girl of few words, but her smile speaks volumes — touching the hearts of everyone lucky enough to meet her. She’s a source of strength and inspiration, reminding us all of the beauty in life’s simplest moments.

Leah has received her adaptive stroller thanks to the generous support of The New York District Kiwanis – Brooklyn Division and the Brooklyn Bridge Rotary Club!

This specialized stroller will help Leah travel safely and comfortably to doctor appointments, school, and home — making daily life a little easier for her and her family.

We are so grateful for the kindness and generosity that made this possible. With her new stroller, Leah can continue to thrive and spread her beautiful light.
