Meet Sweet Avery – Our Little Ray of Sunshine
Meet 4-year-old Avery, a bright and beautiful soul who fills every room with warmth and joy. Despite being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Vici Syndrome, and Epilepsy, Avery’s spirit remains unshaken. These neuromuscular disorders have caused significant weakness in her legs, making it difficult for her to walk safely — but Avery’s strength shines through every challenge she faces with a smile.
Avery’s heart is as big as her smile. She adores interactive and sensory books, getting lost in their colors and textures. Her eyes light up when she watches Ms. Rachel and Lana Banana, and she loves bonding with her dad over sports. One of Avery’s happiest memories was made possible through Give Kids the World, where she got to meet and hug all her favorite Disney characters — a dream come true!
Avery’s sweet and quirky personality makes her truly special. She’s known for her love of lettuce and tomatoes (yes, really!), and her favorite family tradition is going to Olive Garden for salad and breadsticks. Avery also loves peaceful moments at the local park, especially at the splash pad, where her giggles are pure magic.
Avery has received her wheelchair thanks to the generous support of The Dana Beck Fancher Mission Fund, The West Covina Elks Lodge 1996, and The El Monte Moose Lodge 1097.
Avery’s joy and resilience continue to inspire everyone around her, making the world a better, brighter place. Thanks to her new lightweight manual wheelchair, Avery now has the freedom to explore her world at school, at home, and outdoors safely and independently.
Thank you for helping Avery keep sharing her light with the world.️
