Meet Josue, a courageous and joyful 12-year-old boy whose smile lights up every room. Josue was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Respiratory Distress early in life. Though he is unable to walk or stand, and relies completely on his wheelchair for daily activities, Josue’s spirit shines brighter than ever.

Despite the many challenges he faces, Josue remains full of happiness and wonder. He is a huge fan of Stitch, and nothing delights him more than watching animal videos on his tablet — except, of course, visiting the zoo to see them in person! Josue is a bright and curious young soul who loves outings to the mall, where he soaks in all the sights and sounds.

One of Josue’s greatest joys is his beloved dog, Ciara, who is always by his side. And there is something truly special about the bond he shares with his mother — Josue lights up when she tells him stories, responding to the sound of her voice with pure love.

Josue is an inspiration to everyone who knows him. His resilience, his laughter, and his love make the world a more beautiful place.

We are so grateful to the Macchia Family Foundation and the Ricky King Fund for making it possible for Josue to get the vital wheelchair repairs he needed. These new parts mean more than just safety and comfort—they mean freedom, independence, and the chance for Josue to keep exploring the world with confidence and joy.
