Meet Jayden!

Meet Jayden, a 16-year-old with a gentle spirit and a love for relaxing days filled with music, blankets, and his favorite YouTube videos about letters, numbers, and colors. While his cognitive level is closer to 11–12 years old, Jayden communicates clearly through body language — lifting his arm to say “no” or reaching out when he wants something. He can’t walk, talk, or complete daily tasks without full assistance, but he expresses deep affection for those he loves and enjoys being spoiled by his family.

Jayden was born with two extremely rare genetic conditions — NGLY1 and ADSL deficiencies — making him one of only 11 known people in the world with this combination. These conditions cause seizures, developmental delays, and low muscle tone. Recently, he experienced a severe seizure that caused his oxygen levels to drop dangerously low, requiring ICU care with no clear discharge date. Despite these challenges, Jayden continues to find comfort in familiar routines, soft textures, and the loving presence of his family.

Jayden now needs a specialized manual tilt wheelchair to support his positioning, safety, and comfort as he heals. This wheelchair will make a world of difference in his quality of life, helping him sit safely, interact with his surroundings, and be transported with ease. Your support can bring comfort and stability to a brave young man who’s navigating life with rare challenges — and doing it with quiet strength and love. Please be his sponsor.
