Meet Elisette!

 

 

Meet Elisette, a joyful and curious 5-year-old who brightens every space she enters. Though her cognitive level is closer to that of a 1-year-old, she is full of energy, sweetness, and a love for connecting with others — even strangers. She enjoys playing with her sister, splashing in the bath, swinging and sliding at the park, and feeling the sand and water at the beach. Always happy, Elisette loves music, dances by jumping, and never misses a chance to make a new friend.

Living with Angelman Syndrome, Elisette was diagnosed at just 10–11 months old through a research study. This rare condition affects her ability to speak, balance, and walk steadily, and she can experience silent seizures at any time. Despite these challenges, she embraces life with a big smile, curiosity, and affection for everyone around her — including her two beloved dogs, whom she loves to play with.

Elisette’s family is hoping to provide her with an adaptive trike. This special trike will help her build strength, improve balance, and enjoy the independence of movement in a safe and supportive way.
