Meet Jorge!
Jorge is a happy and loving 13-year-old who lights up every room with his contagious laughter and bright spirit. Though he faces challenges with West Syndrome, Jorge’s joyful nature shines through every day. He especially loves being around other kids at school, where his social and alert personality makes him a true friend to many.
Jorge finds joy in the little things—whether it’s giggling at the funny grunts in Ice Age, laughing at the “pow” and “bum” sounds in cartoons, or cheering when he hears a loud “gooooooaaal!” during a soccer game. He also loves reggaeton music, visits to the mall where it’s cool and comfortable, and swimming at the pool or beach. His golden doodle service dog, Milo, is his loyal companion and best friend.
Despite being fully dependent on his family for care, Jorge’s happiness is what shines the brightest. His favorite color is blue, his favorite food is ravioli, and his heart is full of love. Jorge inspires everyone around him with his resilience, laughter, and joy. A new wheelchair will help him continue exploring the world and enjoying the things he loves most.
