Meet Joshua!
Meet Joshua! At 16 years old, Joshua is a loving, funny, and incredibly smart young man who has a way of making everyone around him smile. Diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia at age 7, he has faced challenges with courage and determination, never letting them hold back his curiosity or sense of humor. Whether he’s cracking a joke with his family or acing his science class, Joshua shows that strength comes in many forms.
When Joshua isn’t busy being a straight-A student, you’ll probably find him enjoying his favorite things—listening to Eminem (Venom on repeat!), watching The Walking Dead or Scream, or building his basketball card collection that his grandma helped start.
Even though he’s depending more on his walker and wheelchair these days, Joshua’s determination shines through. He’s figured out his own way of scooting up and down stairs, but what he really needs now is a stair lift to give him safe, easy access at home. With his big heart, quick wit, and bright mind, Joshua inspires everyone who knows him—and we know he’s only just getting started!
