Meet Hudson!
Meet 16-year-old Hudson. This charismatic, delightful young man was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Hudson presents left side weakness and walks with an ataxic gait. He requires the use of AFOs and lacks strength and endurance, which can lead to him tripping and falling. He did suffer a fall in 2023, causing him to have surgery on his left femur and eventually led to a bilateral lengthening surgery on his right hip and his tibia.
Despite the daily complications Hudson faces, he remains resilient, humble and empathetic. Hudson is a big fan of classic superheroes such as Batman and Spiderman. He also enjoys listening to popular K-Pop artists such as BTS and the melodic soulfulness of British pop band Coldplay. Hudson is a sports lover, including hockey, volleyball, and watching his local lacrosse team. You can find him cheering on his favorite team, the Carolina Hurricanes. Hudson loves to be outdoors and stay active- whether it’s going on a walk, swimming, or observing nature. Above all, Hudson is a social butterfly whose heart is as big as his smile!
