Meet Jaira!
Jaira is a sweet and loving 16-year-old whose gentle spirit shines through in everything she does. Smart and compassionate, she is always trying to figure things out and shows deep care for everyone around her. Pink is her favorite color, and while she doesn’t watch much TV, she enjoys listening to all types of music—especially cheerful children’s songs that make her smile.
Jaira absolutely loves going to school and heads there each day with happiness and excitement. One of her favorite parts of school is interacting with the animals there, which brings her great joy. She also loves spending time outdoors at the park, rolling on the grass, playing with sound-making toys, and enjoying her favorite food—pasta.
Jaira has right-side hemiplegia after experiencing a stroke at just one year old and is fully dependent on others for all activities of daily living. Although she cannot speak many words, her tenderness and loving nature speak volumes. A wheelchair would provide Jaira with the mobility, comfort, and support she needs to continue enjoying school, the outdoors, and the world around her.
