Meet 10-year-old Sophia. At just 18 months old, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and has since endured several strokes. As a result, Sophia has weakness on her right side, which impacts her balance and endurance. While she faces many challenges, Sophia remains a happy, resilient, and active little girl who continues to brighten the lives of those around her.
Sophia has many interests that reflect her gentle spirit. Her favorite colors are pink and purple, and she loves watching Disney princess movies, The Little Mermaid being her favorite. She also enjoys watching football and cheering on the Miami Dolphins. Known for being peaceful and shy, Sophia especially loves spending her time doing arts and crafts. Though she is quiet and often prefers her own world, her strength and determination inspire everyone she meets and truly make our world a better place.
Sophia needs a therapy tricycle. This adaptive trike would help improve her muscle strength, coordination, and endurance, while providing a fun and meaningful way for her to stay active and enjoy time with her family.
Thanks to the Jim Moran Foundation, Sophia has received the therapy tricycle that will empower her to keep moving, exploring, and thriving.
