Meet Samiel!
Meet 5-year-old Samiel! Sam was born with spina bifida and has endured several surgeries at a young age. While he can walk short distances on his own, his legs are weak and he requires the use of orthotics. He utilizes a wheelchair for distances, but he tries his best to remain independent!
Sam is a helpful and intelligent little boy, often engaging in conversations with others. His mom describes him as opinionated- he knows what he wants! Sam is a fan of Batman and The Lego Batman Movie is his favorite! Visits to Chuck-E-Cheese and SeaWorld are among some of his most loved places. However, Sam is more of a homebody and enjoys helping cook, playing video games, and spending time with his cat! Most importantly, Samiel is encouraging to all he meets and always smiling!
Sam received a new pair of leg braces, as his current braces are too tight on him and have caused blisters and skin irritations. The new orthotics will help make walking easier for him and give him a sense of independence. Special thanks to his sponsor for keeping a smile on his face and improving his quality of life!
