Meet 12-year-old Bruce, a remarkable young man living with Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type III, also known as Brittle Bone Disease. He was born with healing fractures and has faced more physical challenges in his young life than most of us can imagine. Along with fragile bones, Bruce experiences muscle weakness that affects his endurance. Yet despite it all, he continues to meet each day with resilience, determination, and a bright spirit.

Bruce is a true book lover. You’ll often find him turning the pages of favorites like Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Dog Man, Origami Yoda, and the Middle School series. His imagination is as strong as his heart, and his curiosity shines especially bright in science class, where he truly excels. Bruce also loves music, especially the fun and quirky songs of Weird Al Yankovic, which perfectly match his own great sense of humor. Creative, intelligent, and hilariously witty, Bruce enjoys playing Nintendo and finding new ways to express himself. He has a special way of inspiring everyone around him and making the world a little brighter.

Thanks to the generosity of Harvey E. Najim Charitable Foundation Bruce received the therapy tricycle he needed, an adaptive trike designed to help improve his muscle strength, coordination, and endurance. More than that, it would give him the freedom to move, explore, and simply be a kid enjoying time with his family.
