Meet Katherine!
Katherine is a sweet and gentle 10-year-old who brings warmth to everyone around her with her calm spirit and beautiful smile. Though she is nonverbal and has limited eyesight, Katherine connects with the world through sound and touch. She especially lights up when she hears familiar voices, showing her happiness through smiles and peaceful expressions that melt hearts.
Katherine loves listening to music, with songs like “Baby Shark” bringing her comfort and joy. She loves being outdoors, where she can feel the sunshine and breeze—simple moments that bring her a sense of peace. At home, she enjoys laying with her musical stuffed animals, listening quietly and content.
Diagnosed with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy and microcephaly, Katherine is fully dependent on others for all of her daily needs. She is fed through a G-tube and requires constant care. A specialized wheelchair would make a tremendous difference in her life, allowing her to safely explore the world around her, enjoy more time outside, and experience greater comfort and support each day.
