Meet 4-year-old Chaya. She was diagnosed with Cyclin-Dependent Kinase-Like 5 (CDKL5) Deficiency Disorder when she was just 3 months old. Because of her condition, Chaya is fully dependent on her family for all of her daily needs. Despite the many challenges she faces, she is a sweet and lovable little girl who brings joy to everyone she meets.
Chaya loves being outdoors, especially visiting the local park and enjoying the swings. Most of all, she cherishes time with her family. She lights up at the sound of their voices—whether they are singing to her or reading her favorite stories.
Due to her condition, Chaya relies entirely on others for her care and mobility.
