Meet 14-year-old Miriam, who was diagnosed with Aicardi-Goutières Syndrome when she was 1 year old. She is fully dependent on her family for her everyday needs. Miriam has many challenges; she is a loveable young lady who brings happiness wherever she goes.
Miriam has an array of interests. Her favorite color is pink. She enjoys watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Most of all, Miriam adores spending time outdoors, feeling the warmth of the sun and the cool breeze. Miriam inspires everyone and makes our world a better place.
Due to her condition, Miriam relies entirely on others for her care and mobility. A properly fitting manual wheelchair would provide her with the safe, comfortable support she needs to experience the world around her, explore new environments, and continue creating meaningful moments with the people she loves.
Because of the incredible generosity of the Sorenson Legacy Foundation Miriam has received a brand-new Manual Wheelchair! This special gift will make a meaningful difference in her life, giving her the opportunity to explore new environments, create lasting memories, and enjoy new adventures with her family. Thank you for helping make moments like these possible!
