Meet Leo!

Meet 5-year-old Leo! This joyful little boy suffered from a traumatic brain injury when he was an infant and required multiple surgeries. Due to his TBI, he was also diagnosed with a seizure disorder and spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy. He experiences left-side weakness, but he can pull himself up. Although he can’t walk without assistance, he does utilize a gait trainer and a wheelchair for long distances.
Despite the challenges Leo faces, he remains resilient and cheerful. Leo is a fan of the popular animated show, Paw Patrol, and its spin-off series, Rubble and Crew. Leo also enjoys books about trucks and tractors, and he recently went to a Monster Truck rally, which he loved! He remains an active boy and thrives on being outdoors, whether it’s playing whiffleball or going to concerts in the park. The sights, sounds and games of Dave of Buster’s make it one of his favorite places to visit. Leo’s mom describes him as the “light of our life,” he has a kind-heart and has a smile as bright as the sun!
Leo needs a therapy bike. This bike will help keep him active while strengthening his muscles. He loves to be outdoors with his brothers and riding a bike with them is his dream. An adaptive tricycle will provide him with a safe and enjoyable form of recreation. Please consider being his sponsor!
