Meet Rochel!
Meet eight-year-old Rochel! Rochel is a happy, determined young girl with a love for reading and learning. Diagnosed at birth with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, she relies entirely on her parents for daily care and mobility. Despite these challenges, Rochel approaches life with positivity and resilience and continues to excel in school.
Rochel enjoys baking with her family, spending time with friends, and visiting local farms where she loves petting the animals. She has a sweet tooth, especially for chocolate treats, and her favorite subject is math. She also loves the color red and bringing joy to the people around her.
Rochel needs a new manual wheelchair, as her current chair has fallen into disrepair and is no longer safe or comfortable to use. Worn safety belts and deteriorating padding have compromised both her positioning and security. A new manual wheelchair would provide the postural support, proper positioning, and safe mobility she needs to fully participate in activities at home, school, and within her community.
