Meet 9-year-old Derrick! Derrick is no ordinary boy. He is truly a survivor. Born with Shaken Baby Syndrome, he has overcome too many challenges to count. His mother says that is he is blessed to be here.
Derrick’s favorite color is blue and his favorite thing to do is go outside and feel the sun on his face. You can also find him enjoying himself at church with his family. He likes to listen to worship or gospel music – his favorite song is “Shout Now”.
Derrick is currently in need of a new manual wheelchair. He has outgrown his current wheelchair and his family’s vehicle is not handicap accessible.
