Meet Andi Rose!

Meet 16-year-old Andi Rose. Andi Rose was diagnosed with right side hemiplegia and schizencephaly at birth. She is a twin and both her and her brother were adopted at a young age. She wasn’t meeting most of her baby milestones. She can walk, but has trouble with long distances. In 2018, she collapsed and became unconscious. She had to spend 6 weeks in the ICU and have a shunt inserted into her brain.

Despite Andi Rose’s condition, she remains a loving young lady with several interests. She enjoys listening to praise and worship music. She loves going on car rides or being pushed in her stroller for a walk. Being outdoors is where she is happiest. Andi Rose has an eclectic taste in films- she likes everything from musicals to dramas. Her favorites include Annie, Die Hard, and the Chronicles of Narnia. Perhaps the most important thing about Andi Rose is that she is thriving—she has been through so much in her young life, but continues to always be a ray of light in a world full of darkness.

Andi Rose received a Freedom Concepts therapy bike from the Wheelchairs 4 Kids’ equipment closet. Andi Rose’s mom said that the bike is a terrific outlet for her to be outdoors and get the exercise her legs and brain needs. Many thanks!
