Meet Emilie!

Meet 2-year-old Emilie. Emilie was diagnosed with a genetic disorder leading to hypotonia. She was diagnosed on Christmas day, two days after she was born, and spent nearly 2 months in the NICU due to having infantile seizures. Emilie is unable to walk without assistance. She also has several developmental delays.

Despite Emilie’s hardships, she remains a bubbly, warm, and loving little girl! She enjoys watching the ever-popular children’s shows, Bluey, Cocomelon, and Pocoyo. She loves to visit her local trampoline park and play in the ball pits. She has two pet cockatiels named Lola and Monshe. Emilie’s name means “thriving” and that is exactly what she does. Emilie is our warrior!

Emilie received a Rifton gait trainer. The gait trainer will allow her to explore her natural environment and achieve mobility. Special thanks to Herbert Bearman for being her sponsor.
