Meet Farshan!

Meet 13-year-old Farshan. Farshan was diagnosed with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy. He wasn’t getting enough oxygen or blood flow to his brain, causing him severe brain damage. The diagnosis also led to his developmental delays, as well as a seizure disorder. He has been hospitalized several times and once spent a full month in ICU.

Despite Farshan’s challenges, he remains a compassionate and friendly child. He is a fan of popular PBS kids show, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.  He enjoys listening to simple nursery rhymes, or the songs of acclaimed children’s artist, Jack Hartmann. Farshan is fascinated with his collection of toy cars. He also likes to play with the plastic balls that are often found in ball pits and with Duplo building blocks. Farshan’s name means “happy and joyous”, which could not be truer about this kind-hearted young man.

Farshan is in need of a bathroom modification. He requires a roll-in shower. His current bath tub is too hard for him to get in and out of, and since he is growing, it remains difficult for his parents to lift him. His entryway into his bathroom is also too narrow for his chair to fit through and needs to be widened for his safety. Please be his sponsor!
