Meet six-year-old Gardenia. She was born in Guatemala and was diagnosed with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. She has endured more than a dozen surgeries. She cannot stand without assistance. Gardenia uses a wheelchair for school and a medical stroller for home and going around town. Gardenia is cheerful and upbeat despite her tribulations.
Gardenia has a few interests. She is a huge fan of Disney’s Frozen—Elsa is her favorite character. Her hobbies are coloring and painting-she is always asking for art supplies to create new and beautiful pictures. Gardenia, most importantly, has a great personality. She is friendly and talks to everybody. She is always laughing and smiling. Gardenia lives up to her name. She is as beautiful as a flower and is the awe-inspiring center that people cannot wait to see!
Gardenia received a new medical stroller. Her current stroller was too small and painful. The new equipment will provide better comfort and support. Special thanks to Ronnie Bryant and Qualified Services for being her sponsor! From the smile on Gardenia’s face, you can tell she loves her new stroller- and it’s even in her favorite color, pink!
