Meet Hudson!

Meet 9-year-old Hudson! Hudson has several diagnoses, including Agenesis of corpus callosum, which was discovered shortly after birth. He has a seizure disorder as a result of this diagnosis. Hudson was also diagnosed with cerebral palsy and has a rare eye disorder known as septo-optic dysplasia, which affects his brain and nervous system. He is non-verbal but uses a communication device to express himself. Hudson uses a wheelchair and is 100% dependent.

Despite Hudson’s trials, he remains a funny and empathetic young man who is always smiling and very loving. He plays on the Miracle League and is a fan of local sports teams, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Rays. He also enjoys watching his favorite shows, Mr. Rogers Neighborhood and Curious George. Hudson loves the song “Chicken Fried” by Zac Brown and bops along to the chorus. Hudson’s favorite activity is adaptive surfing- he loves going to the beach and enjoys the calm waves. Hudson is a unique and beautiful soul, and his determination and tenacity define who he is.

Hudson received a medical push wheelchair. He current wheelchair is too big and bulky to take on simple trips to the park or grocery store. This lightweight chair will provide him with safety and comfort while also providing him with a better quality of life. Special thanks to the Broadrick Foundation for being his generous sponsor!
