James “Major Mallotov” Mallo is wanted for illegal capture – of selfies! He has been cited with Illegally capturing too many selfies without a permit for extreme awesomeness.
Major Mallotov is a danger to phone storage and public egos everywhere. He is determined to escape this selfie sentence — he claims innocence because prison orange doesn’t work with his filter!
Major Mallo has served as a law enforcement officer within the State of Florida for the last 33 years and the last 24 of those years in his hometown community of Pasco County. He has been a member of the command staff at the Pasco Sheriff’s Office for over 14 years and has led many areas within the agency. He is currently responsible for the Strategic Initiatives Bureau which encompasses the School Safety and Youth Services, Behavioral Health Intervention, Community and Agency Resiliency, and Citizen Support Services divisions. During his career, he has worked as a Police Officer with the Florida State Capitol Police, Special Agent with the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, and Senior Police Officer with the Temple Terrace Police Department. James has experienced the diverse perspectives of working within State, County, and City government.

He furthered his education and attended the University of South Florida where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice Administration, and a Certificate in Project Management. In 2014, he also earned a Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice Education from the University of Virginia, as he simultaneously graduated from the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy, Class #258.
James’ family moved to Pasco County in 1971. James has been married to Laura Mallo for 29 years and has twins who are currently in college. The Mallos also have two canine family members, Dolly and Bella. James most enjoys spending time with his family and helping others.
