Meet Josephine!

Meet 8-year-old Josephine. Josephine contacted cytomegalovirus in utero just a few days before she was born. The virus led to a series of issues at birth, such as microcephaly and a cerebral palsy diagnosis. While Josie has good trunk control and is able to sit up by herself, she can’t walk without assistance.

Josephine is described as a happy and funny young lady. She has a good sense of humor and heart of gold. Josie enjoys watching PBS Kids shows such as Dinosaur Train, Super Why, and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. She likes to listen to simple children’s nursery rhymes such as “Itsy-Bitsy Spider” and “Row, Row, Row Your Boat.” Her favorite place to be is outdoors, and she enjoys visiting local botanical gardens. Josephine is a motivated girl and will stop at nothing to do the best she can do. Josie is our hero!

Josephine needs a new medical stroller, as she has grown out of her current stroller. She requires the stroller for safe transportation to/from school and to all medical appointments. Please be her sponsor!
