Meet Justin!
Meet 16-year-old Justin. Justin was born prematurely with a brain bleed and had to have a VP shunt inserted. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a toddler, after doctors noticed he wasn’t meeting his typical baby milestones. Justin has had two shunt revisions, and whenever he would get high fevers, he would have seizures. He is able to walk with the assistance of a cane or walker, and uses a wheelchair for long distances, school, and transportation.
Justin is a caring and nurturing young man who loves to give hugs and hold hands, and can always tell if someone needs comforting. Justin is also a fun-loving teenager who enjoys his favorite sports team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and cheering for his number one player, Mike Evans! He also is a thrill-seeker and enjoys frequenting Busch Gardens theme park. Justin also loves going for walks, being outdoors, and playing on his iPad. Most importantly, Justin is an understanding and kind-hearted boy who has won over our hearts with his compassionate spirit!
Justin received a Rifton therapy bike, thanks to the generosity of Baycare. This bike will help strengthen his legs and provide him with a fun way to exercise!
