Meet Alina!

Alina is a joyful 9-year-old with a gentle spirit and a beautiful, contagious giggle—especially when she’s with her dad. She loves the color pink and enjoys listening to cartoons and Christian music, taking comfort in familiar sounds and loving voices. Though she is blind, Alina finds happiness in the world through sound, touch, and connection.

One of Alina’s favorite places to be is the park, where she delights in feeling the breeze on her face and experiencing the outdoors in her own special way. She especially loves playing in the water, an activity that brings her pure joy and relaxation. Alina is fully dependent on others for her daily care and receives all of her nutrition through a G-tube.

Alina was diagnosed with microcephaly due to Zika, a condition that has shaped her unique needs and abilities. She currently needs a medical stroller to help her safely and comfortably enjoy time outside the home. With loving support and the right equipment, Alina continues to shine with happiness and laughter, touching the hearts of everyone around her.
