Meet Andre!
Andre is a bright, funny, and determined 13-year-old who never lets challenges dim his spirit. He loves making people laugh, keeping his word, and staying true to his goals. Even though school isn’t always his favorite, Andre shines when he’s learning about things he loves—like coding, video games, and classic vintage consoles. He dreams of becoming a coder one day and spends hours watching videos and practicing skills that will help him reach that goal.
Outside of his passion for technology, Andre enjoys shooting hoops at the park, spending time with friends, and reading. He has already completed the entire Five Nights at Freddy’s series—an impressive accomplishment for any young reader! When it comes to fun, he’s also a big fan of Spider-Man, listening to his favorite songs (especially “Golden Hour”), and eating hamburgers at Five Guys.
Andre was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome. He now uses a wheelchair but is determined to keep getting stronger and dreams of walking again. His physical therapist believes an adaptive therapy trike will not only build his strength and motor control but also give him the chance to join in on fun rides with his siblings and friends. With his outgoing personality and unstoppable determination, Andre is ready to take on the world—one step, and one laugh, at a time.
