Meet Annabelle!
Meet 14-year-old Annabelle. She was diagnosed with spastic cerebral palsy. She has limited mobility and strength in her legs. She uses a walker. She also uses her hands and legs to navigate stairs. Annabelle refuses to let these and other trials limit her life.
Annabelle has a remarkable and inspiring story. Annabelle’s biological parents dropped her off at the hospital when she was three years old. The little girl ended up in an orphanage where she spent much of her life. As Annabelle got older, she comforted children who were new to the orphanage. Annabelle was eventually adopted into a loving family, where she now thrives. She attends school and is in the Honor Roll for every subject, but math is her favorite topic. She likes fantasy movies and even draws anime characters. She has a library of books to read, including Harry Potter. Annabelle, when she is not studying or reading, makes everybody laugh with her antics. She clearly has a tender heart and a fun spirit. Annabelle’s name describes her best. Numerous cultures define Annabelle as favored grace, beautiful, and gift from God. To us, she is simply perfect.

Annabelle is finally able to shower independently! We were able to remove the bathtub and create a roll in shower for her. Annabelle has gained the independence and dignity she was so yearning for!
