Meet Benjamin!
Benjamin is an 18-year-old young man with a strong and inspiring spirit that leaves a lasting impression on everyone he meets. Though he functions at an infant cognitive level and is nonverbal, Benjamin communicates his joy in his own special ways—through smiles, tapping, and clapping along to music he loves. He enjoys listening to artists like Ed Sheeran and Bad Bunny, especially the song “Titi Me Pregunto,” and cherishes time spent with family, whether it’s watching Formula 1 together or simply relaxing with friends.
Benjamin finds happiness in movement and being out in the world. He loves going for walks, feeling the motion and rhythm of being pushed along, and especially enjoys visits to the beach or strolling along a boardwalk. Simple pleasures like a trip for ice cream, bring him comfort and joy. Despite being blind and fully dependent on others for care, Benjamin’s sweet nature and resilience shine brightly.
Diagnosed with Spastic Cerebral Palsy, Benjamin requires full support for all aspects of daily life, including sitting, positioning, and mobility. A specialized wheelchair with proper support, recline, and positioning features is essential to ensure his comfort and allow him to safely participate in activities both at home and in the community. This equipment will not only enhance his quality of life but also help him continue to experience the world around him in meaningful and joyful ways.
