Meet Ivana!
Fourteen-year-old Ivana is a bright light to everyone who knows her. Though she faces daily challenges from cerebral palsy, her joyful spirit shines through in every smile and gentle touch. Diagnosed at just nine months old after a high fever and seizures changed her life forever, Ivana continues to show incredible strength and love each day.
Ivana may be nonverbal, but she expresses herself beautifully through affection and play. She loves when her mom plays with her—especially tickles and kisses—and enjoys listening to Christian music together. Her favorite food is chicken soup, though she’s happy to eat just about anything! Ivana also treasures her two soft toys, which bring her comfort and smiles.
Despite limited mobility, Ivana uses her hands and arms to interact with the world around her. Ivana needs a manual wheelchair to help her move safely and comfortably. At the moment she is using a donated transport chair that is too large for her and does not have the seating or accessories needed for her.
