Meet Jose “Manny”!
Meet 14-year-old Jose, also known as Manny. He was a healthy boy until 2020. He suffered from Hypoxia after a tragic choking accident. He was eventually diagnosed with epilepsy as a result of the tragedy. He is now nonverbal and completely dependent on his family for everyday tasks. Manny, despite his trauma, remains fun loving and kindhearted.
Manny has several interests. His favorite movie is the scary Five Nights at Freddie’s. He listens to Korean pop music by the hit band, BTS. He enjoys visiting gardens at Lake Mirror or going to Riverwalk. Manny’s favorite book is “The Dinosaur that Lost His Roar.” Manny can relate to this brave dinosaur. However, Manny never lost his heart. He is affectionate and loving. Manny blows kisses whenever he says “Mama.” He reassures his mom whenever they are going through tough times. He is a true blessing and a miracle. He is an inspiration.
