Meet seventeen-year-old Billy! Billy is an amazing young man with a big personality and a love for rock ’n’ roll music. At just five years old, Billy was diagnosed with Landau-Kleffner Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that can cause the loss of language abilities and may be accompanied by seizures and behavioral changes.
Billy loves listening to rock ’n’ roll, with Metallica as his favorite band and “Fuel” as his favorite song. He enjoys watching Stranger Things and Godzilla, playing video games, and building Legos. He is also a big football fan who loves watching the Kansas City Chiefs. And when it comes to food, nothing beats his favorite: French fries from McDonald’s!
Billy needs a posterior walker because he is currently unable to walk for more than about five minutes without becoming fatigued.
