Meet Christopher “Wren”!
Meet 16-year-old Wren! Wren is a friendly, positive young man who always has a great attitude despite the challenges he faces after being diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at birth.
Wren loves science fiction and enjoys watching Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Stranger Things. He has even read all of the Harry Potter books and is currently reading them again. Wren is a big football fan and loves cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Falcons with his dad. He is very bright and excels in school, where his favorite classes are History, A/V, and Chorus. In his free time, Wren enjoys building LEGOs, playing video games, and going to the movies.
Wren urgently needs a bathroom modification to replace his traditional tub with an accessible walk-in/roll-in shower. As his condition has progressed, climbing into the tub is no longer safe or possible. A roll-in shower will provide him with a safer bathing environment while giving him greater independence and dignity.
