Meet Dante!
Meet nine-year-old Dante.
Dante was born prematurely at 29 weeks, and after missing several early milestones, he was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy around age four. While he depends on his family for most daily care, his spirit is full of energy, imagination, and mischief.
Dante is spontaneous and goofy—he loves to build with LEGO, play with toy cars, and cover the house in torn-up paper, one of his favorite hobbies! He doesn’t talk much, He’s a visual kid who expresses himself in creative ways. Dante loves the color orange, watching Bluey, and even enjoys scary movies. Pizza, mac and cheese, and chicken nuggets are always at the top of his menu. One of his proudest moments was attending the Special Olympics with his school—he absolutely lit up being part of the fun.
To help him safely and easily get in and out of his home, Dante needs a wheelchair ramp for the steps at his front door. This would give him more independence and open the door to new experiences.
