Meet Emmanuel!

Meet Emmanuel, a smart, giving, and happy 10-year-old whose love for soccer, music, and building Legos is as big as his imagination. Diagnosed with osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) at birth, Emmanuel has experienced fractures throughout his childhood. Despite the challenges he faces, he continues to approach life with a joyful spirit and a love for learning. He especially enjoys math and is incredibly good at it!
Emmanuel is a huge soccer fan and knows just about everything there is to know about the sport—from player statistics to team histories. His favorite team is Bayern Munich, and he especially enjoys watching Colombian player Luis Díaz. He also loves pizza and pasta, enjoys water parks, and dreams of one day visiting Japan.
Because of osteogenesis imperfecta, Emmanuel can only walk very short distances and has very low balance, causing him to fall frequently. Walking can also cause significant back and hip pain. His physical therapist believes a therapy trike with safety straps will give Emmanuel a safe way to exercise and participate in an age-appropriate activity with his peers. Most importantly, it will allow him to enjoy the freedom and fun of riding while reducing the risk of injury. With a therapy trike, Emmanuel can keep moving, build strength, and—most importantly—keep up with his friends!
