Meet Gracie!
Meet 13-year-old Gracie! Gracie was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome at age three. Rett Syndrome is a rare genetic mutation affecting her brain development. She has had a gradual decline in her physical mobility and she receives Botox injections for her dystonia. Gracie is also non-verbal and communicates with the use of an eye gaze device.
Gracie is a joyful young lady with several fun interests. She is a cheerleader with the Special Olympics and she also enjoys cheering on her brother’s football and baseball teams. She enjoys swimming, too. Gracie is a Disney fan and loves to visit the parks to meet the beloved Princesses. Her favorite show is Sofia the First. Gracie may not be a real princess, but she is an honorary princess, who remains positive and never gives up despite her challenges.
Gracie is in need of a bathroom modification. She needs a roll-in shower installed as she can no longer safely transfer in and out of her current bathtub. Please be her sponsor!
