Meet Hakum!

Meet ten-year-old Hakum! Hakum is a smart, sweet boy with a love for math and numbers. Despite being born prematurely at just 24 weeks and being diagnosed with Spastic Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy, he brings joy to everyone around him.
Hakum enjoys reading, especially books with sounds, as well as books about Elmo and numbers. Some of his favorite places to visit include the park, water parks with splash pads, and museums. He also enjoys listening to all types of music, collecting Number blocks toys, and eating sweet potatoes and applesauce.

Hakum received an adaptive tricycle thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Sam J. Frankino Foundation and Dana Beck Fancher Mission Fund. Because a standard bicycle is not safe for him due to challenges with balance, motor control, and coordination, this adaptive tricycle will give Hakum the opportunity to build independence, improve his gross motor skills, and experience the joy and freedom of riding alongside his family and friends.
