Meet Jacob!

Meet Jacob! At 13 years old, Jacob is a funny, smart, and creative young man who always knows how to make people laugh—especially his mom, who often finds herself on the receiving end of his jokes. He’s an honor roll student who loves Science and English, especially when he gets the chance to write and explore new ideas. Jacob’s diagnosis of Friedreich’s Ataxia has brought challenges, but he faces them with resilience and determination.
Outside of school, Jacob enjoys playing video games, drawing, and building things that showcase his creative side. He’s recently discovered a love for scary movies—Heart Eyes is his new favorite—and he has a growing collection of horror-themed Funko Pops.
Because his condition affects his balance and endurance, Jacob now uses his wheelchair more often and has frequent falls. What would help most at home is a stair lift, giving him safe access throughout the house. Despite these challenges, Jacob’s bright spirit, sense of humor, and imagination inspire everyone around him, proving that his story is one of strength, creativity, and endless potential.
